Raw On Palms Ceramics is a London-based practice creating tactile, contemporary handmade tableware and homeware. Shaped by Asian heritage and a long-standing admiration for Japanese craftsmanship and aesthetics, the work explores the relationship between form, clay, texture and finish, with close attention to how an object feels, functions and becomes part of everyday life.

The practice is rooted in a personal experience of home shaped by Asian cultures, where shared food, gathering and hospitality were closely connected with expressions of care and a sense of belonging. The objects surrounding these moments carried a presence of their own, becoming familiar through use and gradually connected to the people and memories around them.

Handmade objects can make that connection especially tangible. Subtle differences in surface, weight and form retain something of the making process, giving each piece an individual presence. With time, that familiarity allows an everyday object to hold meaning beyond its practical purpose.
