Each collection begins with a concept and takes shape through clay. Expressed through the pieces, each collection develops its own distinct language while remaining grounded in everyday life.
Kage / 影 "Shadow"
A study in light, shadow and contrast.
Kage began with an interest in the relationship between light and shadow, and how both can subtly change the way an everyday object is seen. Matte white and matte charcoal finishes bring this contrast to the surface, allowing simple forms to feel quiet, grounded and enduring.
Keshiki / 景色 "Scenery"
A study in landscape, surface and natural variation.
Keshiki explores the ceramic surface as a landscape in itself, where tone, texture and natural markings create a changing composition across each piece. The clay remains part of what is seen, allowing every variation to become part of the finished surface.
Kasane / 重ね "Layer"
A study in layering, material and natural movement.
Kasane is made with Raw On Palms Ceramics’ hand-mixed clay body of white stoneware and terracotta. The layered clay creates natural movement, with bands and shifts in tone emerging through the material itself. Each piece carries its own arrangement of colour, line and texture.
Ori / 折 "Fold"
A study in folding, structure and form.
Inspired by the geometry of Japanese origami, Ori explores how a single fold can transform a flat surface into structure and dimension. Folded edges and corners become part of the form itself, giving each piece a subtle architectural presence.
