Kage Ori Platter, Kikkou

£28.00

Ori takes its name from the Japanese word for fold and draws inspiration from the quiet geometry of origami. It's the chamfered, folded corner that defines the piece, a small architectural detail that catches light and shadow differently depending on where it sits in a room.

Sized for serving, styling, or simply holding the small things that gather on a console or countertop, Ori is available in three finishes: matte white or matte charcoal from the Kage collection, or a hand-marbled clay finish from the Kasane collection, glazed clear so the natural pattern of the blended clay shows through.

Each platter is handbuilt individually, so the exact placement of the folded corners and the precise glaze pattern will vary slightly from piece to piece.

Measures approximately: 13.5 cm (L) × 11.5 cm (W) × 1.5 cm (H)

Handmade Characteristics & Care

Each Raw On Palms Ceramics piece is hand-built in small batches. Subtle variations in form, edge, surface, glaze, and colour are part of the making process and give each piece its own quiet individuality.

For pieces made with a clay mix, the movement between different clay bodies will vary from one firing to the next.

These details are part of what makes handmade ceramics personal, tactile, and quietly unique.

  • All items are dishwasher and food safe, however, it is recommended that you hand wash with care.

  • Avoid sudden temperature changes, prolonged soaking, and placing pieces directly into the oven or over an open flame.
